IPTV Fable Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 November 2026
This policy explains what IPTV Fable (the "app") stores on your device, what it sends to us and to our service providers, and why. The app is published by Global Startrack, a partnership firm, under the brand Amber Oak Apps ("we", "us"). It is a media player: it does not provide any channels or other content.
1. What stays on your device
These are stored only on your device and are never sent to us: channel lists, the TV guide, viewer profiles other than the main one, the parental-control PIN and locked categories, hidden and reordered categories, program reminders, playback and subtitle settings, and the error log.
Xtream passwords are kept in Android Keystore-protected secure storage on your device and are never uploaded.
If Android backup is turned on, Android may include this on-device data (but never the Xtream passwords) in your own Google account backup and restore it when you reinstall the app or set up a new device. That backup is managed by Google under your account settings; we cannot access it.
2. What is synced to our cloud service
When cloud sync is available, the app creates an anonymous account (no name, email address or phone number) and stores the following under it, so it can be restored:
- playlist names and types, M3U playlist links, Xtream server addresses and usernames;
- favorites and watch history with playback positions;
- your theme choice.
Only the main viewer profile is synced. Some M3U links contain the login details of your TV provider; such a link is synced as you entered it. Each record can be read only by its anonymous account.
3. Device identifier and free trial
To start and check the free trial, the app sends your device's Android ID to our server, which stores it with the date the trial started. This lets the trial run once per device. The identifier is not linked to your name and is not used for advertising or tracking. It is kept when you delete your synced data, so that the trial cannot be restarted on the same device.
4. Purchases
Payments are processed by Google Play. RevenueCat, our subscription service provider, receives the purchase receipt and an anonymous app user ID so the app can confirm what you bought and restore it. We never see your payment card or bank details.
5. Streams and your TV provider
Playlists, TV guides and video streams are loaded directly from the addresses you enter. Your TV provider receives your IP address and these requests, as with any player. We do not record, proxy or inspect streams. Apart from the synced watch history described above, which is used only to show Continue Watching, we do not track what you watch.
6. Pairing, reminders and external players
- Add from your phone shows a QR code and runs a temporary page on your device, reachable on your local network for up to 10 minutes through a one-time link. What you type on your phone goes straight to your TV or device, not through our servers.
- Program reminders are scheduled by Android on your device. Nothing about them is sent to us.
- If you choose to open streams in another player app, the stream address is handed to that app, and its own privacy policy applies.
7. Error reports
Errors are logged on your device only (Help & Support → Diagnostics), with passwords removed. Nothing is sent unless you copy the report and send it to us yourself.
8. No advertising, analytics or sale of data
The app contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools. We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
9. Service providers and where data is processed
- Supabase: database and anonymous accounts, hosted in the United States.
- RevenueCat: subscription management.
- Google Play: app distribution and payments.
Your information may therefore be processed outside your country. These providers process it on our behalf under their data-processing terms.
10. Why we use your information
We use synced data and purchase records to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract), and the device identifier to prevent misuse of the free trial (our legitimate interest). We use nothing for any other purpose.
11. How long we keep it
Synced data is kept until you delete it. Purchase records are kept by Google Play and RevenueCat as the law and their terms require. The trial record is kept as described above.
12. Deleting your data
Settings → My Account → Delete account deletes your synced data from the cloud and all app data on this device. Uninstalling the app also removes everything stored on the device; a copy in your Android backup can be deleted in your Google account settings. You can also ask us by email to delete your data.
13. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU and UK GDPR or Canada's PIPEDA), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your information, or object to its use. Write to iptvfable@gmail.com; we reply within 30 days. Because synced data is anonymous, we may ask you for details from the app that let us find it. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
14. Children
IPTV Fable is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Parental controls help families restrict what is shown on a shared device.
15. Security
Connections to our service use HTTPS, and database rules let each anonymous account read only its own records. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
16. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the date above. We announce significant changes in the app's release notes on Google Play before they take effect.
